Fourth Grade, Room 1

A bit about me...

My name is Jody Hanes.  This is my eleventh year teaching; ten of which I have been lucky enough to spend in Clyde.  I taught art for a year (much to my students’ disbelief!), first grade for five years, second grade for four years, and now I’m excited to be in fourth grade here at South Main.

I did my undergraduate work at Gannon University in Erie, PA, where I met my husband, Scott.  I completed my Masters degree at Bowling Green State University and have taken additional graduate hours to keep myself current on the best ways to teach so that all students are successful learners.  I am also proud to say that I have earned my National Board Certification, which also qualifies me to be a Master Teacher in Ohio.

Scott and I live in Fremont with our two children, Megan, who is three and Drew, who is one and a half.  We have one more on the way, due at the end of April!  Family is very important to me and I love to spend time with them.  I also really enjoy reading, watching movies and taking walks (with or without a stroller!).
