Welcome to Clyde-Green Springs Schools
Tradition, excellence, and quality are words that describe the Clyde-Green Springs Schools. Whether it is the success of our graduates, the excellence of local, regional, and national productions offered in our state of the art performing arts center, our prowess in athletic fields of endeavor, or the safety and security that can only be provided in a small town atmosphere, you can be sure that you have arrived in just the perfect place to live and raise a family.
With construction started on two new school buildings and additions and renovations to two other buildings, Clyde-Green Springs Schools’ students will be educated in facilities that will feature the latest in technology, green building products, and student safety. When completed in the Fall of 2010, the new buildings will offer a PreK-3 building in Clyde, a new K-3 and entire district 4-5 building in Green Springs, a new 6-8 middle school in Clyde, along with grades 9-12 at Clyde High School.
The district’s educational program is designed to meet state standards of excellence while offering the flexibility needed to provide for individual needs. The foundation is laid at the elementary school level and continues through the middle school where students are taught by interdisciplinary teams of teachers. Clyde High School offers 8 courses for college credit through the University of Findlay and students can also take advantage of traditional post-secondary option programs. High School students may also continue their studies at Vanguard Career Center or enroll in Tech-Prep programs at the Vanguard Tech Center.
Located in northwest Ohio and minutes from the many attractions of Lake Erie, the Clyde-Green Springs Schools offer the best in public education. The district serves just fewer than 2300 students in grades K-12 and encompasses 65 square miles that includes the City of Clyde and the Village of Green Springs. Whirlpool Corporation’s world's largest washing machine manufacturing facility is located in Clyde and is Sandusky County’s largest employer.
So whether you’re looking for outstanding schools, career or business opportunities, recreation, cultural opportunities, or just a place to live in the safety and security of small town America, when you arrive at the Clyde-Green Springs area you will have reached your destination.
